Fall 2024 CONFERENCE EDUCATOR: Robert Kelly
Bio: Rob Kelly is a Michigan licensed massage therapist and a certified lymphedema therapist. He has been practicing and teaching massage therapy for over 27 years. His massage practice includes clients who are dealing with very specific orthopedic issues, clients with lymphedema or people who would like an hour relaxation massage. Currently, he teaches anatomy, physiology, and pathology lecture classes as well as many orthopedic massage classes at Irene’s Myomassology Institute in Southfield, MI. He also teaches in the Beaumont Oncology Massage Program in Royal Oak, MI. Rob teaches many continuing education classes throughout the Midwest with his business, Rob Kelly Seminars
Class Description:
Optimal function of the lymphatic system can help with a healthy lifestyle and aid in treating disorders such as edema, sluggish blood flow, post-surgical swelling, and headaches. This lymphatic drainage class will discuss the anatomy and physiology of the system, along with common conditions such as lymphedema, lipedema, and post-surgical scarring. Students will learn how to assess and treat the lymphatic system of the head, neck, torso and limbs using gentle and rhythmic techniques to elicit effective tissue change.
